ELIGIBILITY
Candidates, who have passed MBBS, BAMS, BHMS or BNYS from any recognized university, are eligible to undergo this course. Every candidate, before admission to the course, will be required to undergo a clinical examination by the college administration to the effect that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the osteopathic medicine course.
ENTRANTS
Medical practitioners preferably with more than two years post graduate experience involving patients contact.
FEE STRUCTURE
The Members admitted to the college will be charged a fee of Rs. Five lakhs per course of one year.
They will be required to make their own lodging and boarding arrangements.
ENTRANCE PROCEDURE
Members are recommended to arrange to visit the college during a working day in order to see the methods of training and discuss informally their plans with the Principal. Applications should be made on the College's form will be considered at meeting of the College committee. Before taking up Membership applicant will have to satisfy the college in the interview. It is stressed that a place on the course will be reserved for every applicant who accepts a provisional offer, therefore it is necessary for the fee to be paid upon acceptance to demonstrate the seriousness of the applicant's intentions. Following success in the first semester provisional offer will become definite.
The interview will give an opportunity to assess the candidate's knowledge. The benefit of the course cannot be achieved unless it is preceded by an adequate revision of anatomy. One re-sit will be allowed for those candidates who are not successful at their first attempt.
Candidates will be expected to be familiar with:
a. The skeleton, including the ability to draw from memory individual bones especially typical vertebrae. The range of movements of joints.
b. The attachments, innervations, and actions of the major muscles.
c. The sensory dermatomes.
